working designs is terrible, and really the only way I can see people having a positive opinion about them is if they have only played the psx lunars, alundra, and growlanser.

they have a reputation for making "helpful" changes that renders games borderline unplayable or grindier after all.

I like New Adventure Island and Battle Lode Runner, but they might not appeal to everyone.

I think the main recommendations would be like Bonk series, bomberman series, star soldier series, the crush pinball games, chew man fu, neutopia series, ys series, lords of thunder and gates of thunder, and rondo of blood.

but a lot of those would probably have the price jacked up through the roof by collectors.

yeah tg 16/turbo duo has a bunch of interesting games and some multiplayer stuff but everything is probably insanely expensive.

it's a gag/dream battle sort of scenario. so there's no plot.

it isn't really any more difficult than the rest of the game,but there isn't really much in rewards at that point other than a cg that isn't in the gallery which doesn't count towards trophy completion. mainly to give you something to do while trying to get max level.

If you have a character at max level, you can get a double exp accessory when you transfer your save file. And if someone has max bp, you can get a double bp accessory.

Haku or Kuon will probably be at or near the level cap by the time you finish the postgame without any extra work so it's worth considering, but getting max bp requires a fair amount of grinding so it might not be worth it.

haven't played ray romano 1, but the animu seems like a reasonable enough adaptation plotwise other than seeming embarrassed about being based on an h game and trying to downplay the whole harem thing. it doesn't really explain the backstory or the whole Uitsualnemetia thing very well and kind of fudges some of the connections that the sequel built upon but didn't seem important at the time, so I wouldn't say that watching the animu would help too much since ray romano 2 is probably written assuming you haven't read the original or at least not recently and is from a new character's pov and everything important gets rexplained to him eventually anyway. though it wouldn't hurt to watch it either I guess.

yeah I don't remember the last boss being difficult at all (at least not a major difficulty spike or anything like that)... though having trouble as knuckles seems pretty understandable even though I never tried it because the game wasn't really designed with him in mind.

animu uses unconventional names and spelling or wacky theme naming all the time

probably mostly to avoid accidentally using names too similar to real people who could sue them for damages.

like that's pretty much the reason the death note manga author gave when asked, and the death note novel has even wackier names like Beyond Birthday and Backyard Bottomslash. ok that's probably all nisioisin but still

I liked it at first, but my opinion of it soured a lot the more I went on.

Like I don't think it's bad or anything, just a bit dull and padded out. I probably wouldn't have reached the point that I started finding it tedious if it was only half as long.

I didn't have a problem picking up a snes classic in the second shipment, and have seen some in the wild at target since then.

but it might be hard to pick up an nes the day they announced since everyone is expecting it, might have more luck with another shipment in a few months.

I have a lot of manga (understatement), though I kind of fell out of buying new volumes for a while. mostly.

starting to get back into it again, having recently splurged and bought all of the omnibus releases for Servant x Service, Paradise Kiss, Franken Fran, and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.

also I guess I should mention that I've seen the antique bakery and alien nine animu at least. and I have both volumes of aqua and the first couple of volumes of aria. so you have at least one person who knows what you're talking about.
